These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Writeout, operated by Kriyaetive Verse Private Limited (CIN: U72900TN2019PTC131581), a company incorporated in India ("Writeout", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Writeout service at writeout.app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly at hello@writeout.app if you suspect any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your internal or personal purposes. We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Service from time to time.
"Your Content" means the sources you add and the goals, questions, and deliverables you create. As between you and us, you retain all ownership rights in Your Content.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, transmit, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including processing it through the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy). This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for residual copies retained for a limited period in routine backups or as required by law.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the necessary rights, licences, and permissions to add it to the Service and to have it processed as described. Do not add content you do not have the right to use.

The Service processes third-party content that you choose to provide (such as videos, podcasts, PDFs, and articles). We do not own or control that content and are not responsible for it. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of such content complies with the rights of the content owners and any applicable third-party terms.
The Service uses automated and AI systems to generate transcripts, summaries, citations, and other deliverables. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and you should review and verify it before relying on it. You are responsible for how you use any output, and the Service is not a substitute for professional advice.
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Writeout and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights in the Service. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name or trademarks without our prior written consent.
Some features are offered as paid plans. Applicable fees, billing periods, and any free trials will be described at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change our fees on a going-forward basis, and we will give you reasonable notice of changes that affect an active subscription.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy or reliability of output. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Writeout and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Writeout and its affiliates from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Writeout agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India to resolve any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring claims elsewhere.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are material we will provide a more prominent notice (such as by email or an in-product notice) before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, stop using the Service.
