Goals and deliverables

A goal groups several sources toward a single outcome. Use one when your research spans more than one video, episode, or document and you want one combined result rather than separate outputs.

Creating a goal

  1. From your dashboard, create a new goal and give it a clear name.
  2. Add sources to it — paste new links, or attach sources you already have.
  3. Choose the deliverable you want, and Writeout draws across every source in the goal.

Deliverables

The deliverable is the finished output for the goal. As you add or remove sources, you can regenerate it so it reflects everything currently in the goal. Every claim stays cited back to the specific source it came from.

When not to use a goal

If you only need output from a single source, you do not need a goal at all — produce the deliverable straight from the source. Goals are purely for pulling multiple sources together.
