Adding sources

A source is anything you want Writeout to work from. Paste a link or upload a file from your dashboard, and Writeout pulls in the content and analyses it.

Supported types

• YouTube videos — paste the video URL.
• Podcasts and audio — paste the episode link.
• PDFs — upload the file.
• Articles and web pages — paste the URL.

What happens after you add one

Writeout fetches the transcript (for audio and video) or the text (for PDFs and articles), then analyses it so it is ready to turn into a deliverable. For long sources this takes a little time; you can keep working while it runs.

Tips

• Add several related sources to a goal to combine them into one deliverable.
• The cleaner the original transcript or text, the sharper the output and citations.
